Jill Scott, Prepress Technician

I’m new to the Spectrum team, but I’ve been working in the printing and design industry since about 2005, even longer if you count the kids’ magazine that my sister and friends and I published in the late 1990s. Back then, I was designing in Microsoft Publisher (my design colleagues are shuddering now), and it inspired me to get a degree in Visual Communications with an emphasis in Graphic Design from NAU in Flagstaff. Since then, I’ve worked for all kinds of printing companies here in Tucson, from small quick-print shops to large commercial printers, as well as doing freelance graphic design work.

Here at Spectrum Printing, my role is two-fold. As a graphic designer, I take your raw content (text, images, etc) and make it look professional, attractive, and aligned with your vision and company brand. As a prepress specialist, I take your finished designs and make sure that they will print perfectly, fixing anything that I can fix, and giving you a heads up if I spot a problem. My goal is always to make sure the finished product looks great!
